El Calafate
El Calafate is located 315 km from Rio Gallegos, the capital of the province of Santa Cruz.
This city has almost 17,000 inhabitants and still maintains some colorful characteristics in its architecture and personality. The name El Calafate came from the calafate berry bushes that grew in a densely wooded area nearby.
