Program: Penguins & Glaciers, 6 days
Activity Level: Comfortable

Day 1: Punta Arenas

Arrive at the airport in Punta Arenas, where your guide will be waiting for you.  Your guide will take you to your hotel where you will have a little time to rest and freshen up.  Today’s plans include a city tour and visiting a museum in town explaining the history of Punta Arenas.  After this we will have dinner and spend the rest of the evening doing as we please. Tonight your hotel is included in the program.

Day 2: Isla Magdalena

Today we will take a trip to the Island of Magdalena to visit the penguins. We will board a small boat to travel to a penguin colony that has 120,000 Magellan penguins during the summer months.  After spending some time with the penguins in their natural habitat, we will return to Punta Arenas for dinner and another good nights rest in our hotel.

Day 3: Puerto Natales

In the morning we will have breakfast and some time to visit Punta Arenas. Around lunch time we will leave Punta Arenas and travel towards Puerto Natales, a small fisherman and cattle rancher town.  The drive is around 3 hours and upon arrival you will have free time to enjoy the city by yourself.  We will meet for dinner and spend the night in a hotel.

Day 4: Torres del Paine National Park

Early in the morning we will leave for Torres del Paine National Park (a 2 hour drive).  We will make a small stop in the tiny town of Cerro Castillo for the bathroom, any souvenirs and a bite to eat.  After this stop we will continue through the pampas of the Baguales Mountain Range until we arrive at the park entrance.  Here we will stop again to take pictures and enjoy the incredible view of the Towers del Paine.  Upon arrival we take a driving tour of the park (about 3 hours), eat lunch and finally arrive at our hotel in the park that has a gorgeous view of Glacier Grey.  We will spend the night at Grey Hotel and eat dinner in their facilities.

Day 5: Navigation on Grey II

Today we will leave very early, walking through a small forest until we arrive at our boat “Grey II”.  Grey II will take us on a short ride through the beautiful glacier made lake.  This navigation will bring us to the Grey Glacier that, on a windless day, the boat will almost touch.  After the excursion we will return to our vehicle to drive back to Puerto Natales where we will have dinner and relax in our hotel.

Day 6: Punta Arenas

Today we will help you return to the airport.  We will take you back to Punta Arenas or help you with a connection to El Calafate.
