El Calafate welcomes tourists to Argentina’s Patagonia, its famous glaciers, mountains, and lakes are eye drawing. Other trips that are thought to be relaxing and tranquil can’t compare with the feeling of peace one gets from spending time in the true wilderness with enormous glaciers at our fingertips.
Day 1: Arrive in El Calafate from Buenos Aires or Puerto Natales
Whichever of these options you choose, we will finish the day by spending time in El Calfate. We will have dinner and spend the night in a local hotel.
Day 2: Calafate - Upsala Glacier
In the morning we will be heading towards Puerto Banderas, passing the whole day navigating in Lake Argentino and admiring the impressive Glacier Upsala. We will disembark in an antique farmhouse to enjoy a different view of the lake and glacier. We will have a typical Argentine barbque on our way back to El Calafate.
Day 3: Calafate - Perito Moreno Glacier
Today we will visit the main attraction; the famous Perito Moreno Glacier. The glacier is 4 kilometers (2.48 miles) wide and the glacier wall is almost 60 meters (196.85ft) high. We will take a short boat ride in front of this breath-taking spectacle to admire it more closely. In the afternoon we will return to the city, and have some free time. We will spend the night in the same hotel and have dinner in El Calafate.
Day 4: Calafate
We will help you with your transfer to the airport in El Calafate or take you back to Puerto Natales, depending on your travel plans.
