Arrive at the airport in Punta Arenas, where your guide will be waiting for you. Your guide will take you to your hotel where you will have a little time to rest and freshen up. Today’s plans include a city tour and visiting a museum explaining the history of the city. After this we will have dinner and spend the rest of the evening doing as we please.
We will leave Punta Arenas and drive to San Isidro Lighthouse. From here we will board a boat and navigate towards the Strait of Magellan. We will have breakfast and lunch on board our tour boat. Finally we will arrive at our campsite on Carlos III Island. Here we will take a small stroll to the campsite, through its surroundings and the whale observatory. Later in the afternoon we will listen to a lecture given by one of the scientists and have dinner. We will stay the night in their camping facilities.
We will have breakfast and leave to see hump back whales. We will observe sea birds, sea lions and penguins along our trip. We will return to have lunch at the campsite and then after lunch leave again for a boat ride towards Santa Ines Glacier, traveling through the Whales Sound. Tonight we will have another lecture and dinner, with the evening free to relax.
Again we will rise to have breakfast, and shortly after take a short excursion to observe the whales and sea birds. Afterwards we will return to our boat that will take us back to Punta Arenas; we will have lunch aboard this boat and arrive back into town to have the evening free, have dinner, and sleep in our hotel.
Today we will take a trip to the Island of Magdalena to visit the penguins. Again we will be boarding a small boat to travel to a penguin colony that has 120,000 Magellan penguins during the summer months. After spending some time with the penguins in their natural habitat, we will return to Punta Arenas for dinner and another good nights rest in our hotel.
Around lunch time we will leave Punta Arenas and travel towards Puerto Natales, a small fisherman and cattle rancher town. The drive is around 3 hours and upon arrival you will have free time to enjoy the city. We will meet for dinner and spend the night in a hotel.
Early in the morning we will leave for Torres del Paine National Park (a 2 hour drive). We will make a small stop in the tiny town of Cerro Castillo for the bathroom, any souvenirs and a bite to eat. After this stop we will continue through the pampas of the Baguales Mountain Range until we arrive at the park entrance. Here we will stop again to take pictures and enjoy the incredible view of the Towers del Paine. Upon entering Torres del Paine National Park we take a driving tour of the park (about 3 hours), eat lunch and finally arrive at our hotel in the park that has an incredible view of Glacier Grey. We will spend the night at Grey Hotel and eat dinner in their facilities.
Today we will leave very early, walking through a small forest until we arrive at our boat “Grey II”. Grey II will take us on a short ride through the beautiful glacier made lake. This navigation will bring us to the Grey Glacier that, on a windless day, the boat will almost touch. After the excursion we will return to our vehicle to drive back to Puerto Natales where we will have dinner and relax in our hotel.
Today we will help you return to the airport. We will take you back to Punta Arenas or help you with a connection to Parque Nacional Los Glaciates in Argentina.
