Program: Torres del Paine Circuit (12 days)
Activity Level: Experienced

The Torres del Paine Circuit has become a goal for serious trekkers in Patagonia; it is one of the most beautiful and most demanding treks, where the signs of the last glaciations are discovered at every turn. An assembly of lakes, fjords and mountains appear abruptly in the middle of the pampas, later the impressive view of granite towers awakens our attention, the Towers of Paine reach heights up to 8000 feet and stand silently over valleys that until 1895 were routes traveled by various explorers and adventurers.

Day 1: Punta Arenas - Puerto Natales

Arrive in Punta Arenas. You will be transferred to Puerto Natales and have dinner with your guide to discuss the next few days of trekking.

Day 2: Puerto Natales - Camp Torres

We will leave Puerto Natales heading towards Torres del Paine after lunch. After arriving in the park, we will have a nice warm-up hike that lasts around 2.5 hours taking us to our base camp, where we will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 3: Camp Chileno - Camp Las Torres

The next morning we will leave our things at camp and trek to the lookout of the Torres. It is approximately an 1.5 hours round trip. We will enjoy the view and then return to pick up our gear and carry on to Camp Las Torres. We will spend the night in Torres camp.

Day 4: Camp Torres - Camp Seron

After leaving Camp Las Torres we will take a 4 hour hike along River Paine, admiring Laguna Azul and the beautiful view of the Valle Encantado. Finally we will arrive at Camp Serón for a good night's rest.

Day 5: Camp Seron - Camp Dickson

In the morning we start out towards Camp Dickson.  The hike is more or less 7 hours; during this time we can observe the mountains that separate Chile and Argentina, and the imposing glacier tongue of the Southern Ice Field, Dickson.

Day 6: Camp Dickson - Camp Perros

It is one of the most beautiful days of the excursion. We will have an approximate 4 hours walk through one of the oldest forests in the park; Lengas and Coigues that grew shortly after the glacier receded.  We will see the medial moraines that mark this valley, until we reach the terminal moraine at the foot of Perros Glacier.  Here we will set up camp, have dinner and relax.

Day 9: Camp Grey - Camp Paine Grande.

After 4 hours of walking with the view of Lake Grey in our sights, we will arrive at Camp Paine Grande and have time to enjoy the scene of Lake Pehoe, eat dinner and enjoy the evening.**

Day 10: The French Valley and Camp Cuernos

In the morning we will start out hiking towards the French Valley.  After 2.5 hours of hiking we will get to rest in Camp Italian; we will leave our backpacks at Camp Italian and continue until the French Valley lookout.  Here will enjoy one of the view of the Valley, Lake Nordenskjold, Lake Pehoe, the French Glacier, and Sierra del Toro. Upon leaving the look out we will hike 3.45 hours more and arrive at Camp Cuernos next to the waves of Lake Nordenskjold.
