Planning a Patagonia trip seems overwhelming at first, it all looks and sounds great, but the menu is so large. We contacted Dittmar Adventures for information and advice. Their first question was, “what kind of trip would YOU like”? We... read more gave the destinations, activities, and timelines we had in mind. Dittmar developed a general plan, with options we did not know about and some based on past client popularity. Communication was easy, informative, and professional, we soon had an itinerary. This developed into a detailed travel guide with transportation connections, lodging, meals, park information, vouchers, even box lunches for hikes, and more. Our trip was superb! The plan was organized and went smoothly with no surprises. We encountered other travelers who didn’t have prearranged tickets for catamarans, shuttles, or buses and had to wait hours, hoping to catch the next one. We greatly appreciated the smaller tidbits of information given regarding tips, taxis, currency, weather, and gear options. Patagonia is as wonderful as advertised. The people of Chile (including Rapa Nui/Easter Island), and Argentina were wonderful. We enjoyed the food and cultural aspects just as much as the beauty of the region. We, 10 guys, used Dittmar to plan and go through entire trip of Del Paine National park in Chile for 8 days, starting from our stop over in Santiago, the hotel to stay there, and once landed in Puerto Natales... read more the transportation to our hotel, and 4 day hiking and sightseeing tour of the W circuit in del pine national park. The entire experience was awesome, they worked with us to customize the pan, recommend hotels ( great stays in Santiago and Puerto Natales). We had Pedro drive us all 4 days, he was just awesome - safe, chill and courteous to others on the road, and on time every day! Very engaging, stopped to show things around and got us everywhere we needed to be. Did it all with a great smile on his face! We had 2 guides who hiked with us all 3 days covering 50 miles. They were great guides - Guillermo was friendly, full of energy, full of knowledge about the park, flora/fauna and more than happy to chat and share the knowledge to the curious. Christian was the other guide and he was a task master, kept us going, and had our backs. Whenever somebody was having a little trouble with technical stretches of hiking, he always stayed close, walking them through each step to make sure we made progress and stayed safe. The guides were great combination for our trip and perfect. They were a great company for the whole hiking! And the lunched they provided were great too, vegetarian friendly where necessary and tasty! Thanks to Jessica who met with us to walk through entire itinerary and details. Overall awesome experience, will do it again with them in a heartbeat, and highly recommend to others!
