This is not just a trek. It’s a journey connecting Bernardo O’Higgins National Park to the Paine Massif, following routes shaped by nature, not crowds.

    Itinerary Overview

    This program is designed for travelers looking to experience Patagonia beyond the usual paths—where access is earned, and every step feels remote and real.

    The journey begins with a scenic boat navigation through the Última Esperanza Fjord, passing Balmaceda and Serrano glaciers before reaching the edge of Bernardo O’Higgins National Park. From there, the experience shifts quickly into something more raw. You hike through dense austral rainforest, cross rivers, and reach the remote shores of Lago Brush, where the first night is spent in a true wilderness camp.

    On day two, the route continues toward Torres del Paine, revealing one of the least explored approaches to the Paine Massif. Along the way, you move through ancient forests and open landscapes, with quiet, expansive views rarely seen by traditional visitors. The journey ends in the Serrano sector, a calmer, less visited area of the park.

    After an early breakfast you will depart from Puerto Natales towards Bernardo O’Higgins National Park with your guide. You will take a catamaran and navigate the Ultima Esperanza Fjord, with views to the glaciers Balmaceda and Serrano, and changes to see local marine wildlife. You’ll disembark close to Puerto Torofrom where the off-the-beaten trail to Brush Lake starts. This hike is through a dense, Austral rainforest, best to be prepared to get wet and a bit muddy! 

    After the last stretch of forest, you’ll reach Lake Brush, from where a zodiac boat will be waiting to cross to the trail for tonights remote camp. Tonight we will have a big meal, and prepare for tomorrow’s adventure. 

    Guided Hike: Hostería Balmaceda – Campamento Brush
    Total Distance: 16 kilometers / 10 miles
    Average Time: 7-8 hours

    After an energizing breakfast you’ll start with a short hike through the forest and down to the water where the zodiac boat will cross you once more to the trailhead. From here you will begin trekking in the direction of Torres del Paine National Park. Along the way we’ll hike through ancient forest, alongside lakes, crossing some small rivers and on a good day you will have some of the least known and best views of the approaching Paine Massif. 

    Upon arrival to the Serrano River, weather depending, we may hike or catch a short zodiac ride to the Serrano Sector of Torres del Paine, a more quiet and less visited area of the park. Here we will camp for the final night of this program. 

    Guided Hike: Lago Brush – Serrano Village
    Total Distance: 16 kilometers / 10 miles
    Average Time: 5-6 hours

    At a pre-scheduled time, a private transfer will come to bring you back to Puerto Natales. 


    *This day can be combined with other activities in Torres del Paine, if you are considering an extension, or already have one planned please consult so that we can consider how to work this into your plans. 


    **Optional extension to Glacier Grey – If you would like to do a glacier boat tour of Glacier Grey this day before returning to Puerto Natales see the add ons section at the bottom of this itinerary.
