OVERVIEW

This three day cycling trip takes you from Puerto Natales to Torres del Paine in 2 days allowing for the trip to be made by bike.  Once you arrive in Torres del Paine you will continue riding in a remote area of the park on a single track trail. 

This trip is fantastic for adding to a longer itinerary and also to get off the regularly visited trails inside Torres del Paine.

Full Itinerary

DAY 1: Bike Across Pampas to an Old Estancia
Puerto Natales – Cerro Guido

In the morning, you will meet with your bike guide at our office in Puerto Natales. At this time, you will be fitted for a mountain bike. Your guide will briefly go over the itinerary for the next couple of days. Afterwards, you will drive for about 1 hour to Cerro Castillo. Here, you will begin biking. There will be a support vehicle following for as long as possible. The ride is mostly flat through the vast pampas. The stunning Sierra Baguales will be on one side of you as you ride with Torres del Paine straight ahead. The night will be spent in a beautiful farm house on estancia called Cerro Guido. You will enjoy a home-cooked meal before a well-deserved sleep.

DAY 2: Bike Towards Torres del Paine
Cerro Guido – Torres del Paine

 

After breakfast, you will begin biking on an old farm road en route to Torres del Paine, for approximately 3 hours. You will have impressive views of the Paine Massif and Sierra Baguales, two imposing mountain ranges. You will also see Laguna Flamencos, a beautiful lagoon frequently filled with flamingos. Eventually, you will arrive to a place called Laguna Azul. From here it is possible to bike to the campground at Las Torres, however, if desired, you can jump in the support vehicle to be driven to the campground instead.

DAY 3: Visit Laguna Azul
Torres del Paine – Puerto Natales

Today, you will drive back to Laguna Azul. Here, you will begin biking on a gravel road en route to the lake. The trail is a diverse mixture of rocky and grassy areas and will challenge you with many small hills. On a clear day, it is possible to see the famous peaks of Las Torres from parts of the trail. Lunch will be eaten at the edge of Laguna Azul. Afterwards, you will continue biking around the lake weaving in and out of forests and up and down hills until you reach a tranquil beach where it will be an easy cruise to our vehicle. You will be driven back to Puerto Natales in the evening.
